Claire Boots for Women, Crochet Pattern

After a long hiatus, I am excited to present my new boots pattern for this Fall. It is one of my favorite patterns to date. Well, I know I say that for pretty much all my patterns. This double layered idea actually originated in my head as fingerless mittens and then graduated to Boots. I must say, it looks far better as boots. Make them in a kaleidoscope of colors for the upcoming Winter. Wear them or gift them, I am sure you won't disappoint the recipients.

Each size of this pattern has been tested thoroughly to ensure a proper fit. When I requested for testers, the response was overwhelming and I was spammed. A big thank you to all the testers for your valuable reviews and your assistance in making this pattern better.

* The pattern is written in Standard American Terms
* Pattern uses worsted weight yarn for the boot and DK weight yarn for the lacy layer
* Pattern includes US sizes 5 to 10
* You will need to know front post double crochet for this pattern. See my tutorial here: Front Post Double Crochet Tutorial

Charisma Infinity Scarf, Loopy Scarf, Free Crochet Pattern

I am back to designing after a long hiatus and  I am so thrilled to be back. I missed designing new patterns so much, you can expect lots of patterns from me in the upcoming months. As of now, make this charismatic infinity scarf for your Fall Wardrobe. You can wear it in two ways as shown in the picture. The giant flower adds to its charm, Don't you agree?  You can make the flower removable by sewing on a safety pin or crocodile clip behind it.

I used the color Colonial blue from Vanna's Choice and loved the outcome. It took me less than three skeins.  It would look great in light colors too as the stitch pattern would pop more. I finished the scarf in one day and took me about 6 hours of crocheting. A 5.5 mm hook was used which made it grow fast. The scarf is made flat and then the ends are slip stitched together in a way that keeps the seam invisible on the right side. The flower is worked flat too and then rolled in to shape.

* This crochet pattern is written in Standard American Terms.

* It uses a I (5.5mm) hook and worsted weigh yarn

* The finished scarf before joining the ends measures 70 inches long and 11 1/2 inches wide

Monster Pencil Case or Pouch, Free Crochet Pattern, Back to School

I am excited to present this cute Back to School Monster pencil case!  Every year I think of coming up with a Back to School project and end up finding no time. I made the one in blue and orange first and my little girl loved it. She requested one in pink and orange, so I whipped up a second one. Made using mostly single crochet stitches and cotton worsted weight yarn, it turned out pretty sturdy. I am sure this will keep the kids entertained in their free time. You will need a matching zipper for the pouch. I didn't find an orange zipper and had to use a blue one. If you are intimidated by the zipper, the pattern explains in detail  how to attach the zipper. Hey, there is a first time for everything! You can do this.
